Dr Sarah McDonnell studied medicine at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, qualifying with honours in 2001. She completed specialist GP training and practiced as a GP for several years in Ireland before moving to Australia in 2011. She worked as a GP in regional Victoria prior moving to Brisbane in 2016 with her family.

Having recently obtained a Masters in Public Health, Sarah has interests in chronic disease management and preventive medicine. Other areas of interest include sexual and reproductive health, women’s health including menopause, and dermatology.

With three young daughters Sarah is kept on her toes at home, and enjoys children of all ages. As well as spending time with her family she enjoys yoga, running and spending time outdoors.
