Dr Stephanie Dawson-Smith grew up in north Queensland and graduated from James Cook University in 2014 with prizes in general practice and psychiatry. She completed her hospital training in South East Queensland and during this time Stephanie was awarded the Diploma in Child Health. Whilst working on the Sunshine Coast, Stephanie completed her specialist training in General Practice. Following this she worked as a GP in Mackay, and was additionally a surgical assistant and an adjunct senior lecturer at James Cook University. In 2020 Stephanie started practicing at Kedron Wavell Medical Centre after settling down in Brisbane with her husband.
Stephanie enjoys the diversity of general practice care and has a special interest in children’s health, improving health and well-being through lifestyle & preventive care, and management of chronic illnesses.
Dr Dawson-Smith operates her own medical services business at Kedron Wavell Medical Centre.
